Jenna discovers that Locke is one of her two preaccident friends, along with Kara. Locke is stuck in a digital neverworld in this book, and cries out for Jenna to help him get out. At the end of the book, Jenna throws their environments into the pond, successfully setting Locke free. What Jenna doesn't know is that Locke is still suffering because Dr. Ash made a copy of his and Kara' s environments.
